Wi-fi robot

To perform mobile robotics in public places requires safety and operator ease of use.  Also, for research purposes, robots should represent a flexible platform which can easily be expanded. The use of a motorised carriage, onboard computer, wireless bridge and two webcams allows such requirements to be realised.

Software hosted onboard the robot is used to translate received commands into movement.  PC based software allows the viewing of onboard cameras and overall control of the robot. The robot can be manipulated by means of control pad, voice command and eye movement.

You need Flash player 7 or above to access this.
