Situated within our purpose-built Computing and Informatics building, the centre has been designed to allow companies that wish to explore the impact of incorporating intelligent mobile office and secure digital information services within their business environment, an opportunity to access and evaluate the latest wireless ICT techniques.

Intelligent Office
Our Intelligent Office will provide a place for local businesses and University research groups to collaborate in the development of state of the art ICT solutions. Demonstrators include:

• Location aware systems

Smart Home
The smart home will provide a demonstration of the application of digital technologies to develop solutions that aid independent living for elderly and disabled individuals.  Demonstrators include:

• People monitoring
• Thermal imaging
• Robotics
• Virtual assistant and assistive technology
• Wireless sensor networks
