Students and colleagues – come along and interact with this free experimental installation in celebration of Bonfire Night. Visit Benefactors' Court for this projection of colour and light – without the associated environmental and ecological impacts of real fireworks – and have the opportunity to engage with it to create your own visual display. This installation has been developed by NTU NXT and is presented in collaboration with Curated & Created – NTU's arts programme and takes place as part of Green Week.

In this lecture, Professor Richard Bibb, will explore the adaptation and application of digital design and fabrication tools and techniques such as 3D scanning, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D Printing in medicine and surgery. The lecture will illustrate how the tools and techniques of digital design have developed over the last 25 years to improve surgery and rehabilitation, leading to enhanced quality of life for a wide range of people. It will also show how the techniques have been successfully transferred to other areas such as forensics and archaeology.
