Carole is a Leicester University law graduate and after qualifying as a Solicitor in 1983 she practised at Nottingham law firm Wells & Hind (later Eversheds) and became a partner there in 1986. Alongside being a property lawyer, Carole had responsibility for training and graduate recruitment.

After leaving Eversheds in 1997, Carole ceased to practise as a lawyer and joined Freeth Cartwright to head up the HR department, where she is now Principal HR Manager.

Carole is also Chair of Governors at Central College Nottingham and Chair or South Nottinghamshire Academy Trust. Carole sits on the Law Society's Education and Training Committee.

Away from the office, Carole enjoys spending time with her family. She is a keen theatre-goer and enjoys the cinema and classical music.
