James Corbett
Member of the Board of Governors

James was born in Nottingham and educated at Broadgate School and High Pavement College before commencing employment at the Nottingham Building Society. He has also worked for Parceline Logistics and Neales Fine Art Auctioneers before starting at Nottingham Trent University in 2003. He developed the role of Health and Safety advisor in the Faculty of Humanities in 2003 before moving on to Information Systems. James is currently Safety Coordinator for Professional Services and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.

James was a Samaritan for ten years, being Chairman of the Nottingham Branch for three of them. The charity specialises in telephone, email and face-to-face befriending of people going through emotional distress, despair or feelings of suicide.

James is keenly involved in motorsport and supports many local events. He also offers support and guidance to a number of charities.
