Simon Gilby
Co-opted Member of the Finance Committee

Simon Gilby works for the NHS in South Yorkshire. He has held a number of Chief Executive and Director roles in the NHS, most recently as Managing Director (Community Health Services) for Sheffield Primary Care Trust. He is currently seconded to NHS South Yorkshire working on the implementation of national policy. He is on the advisory board of Common Purpose (South Yorkshire).

Simon is a Nottingham resident of some 27 years. He grew up in Surrey, then studied for his degree in European Studies and French at Manchester University. He spent a year teaching in France and studying at L'Ecole de Science Politique in Paris.

Simon is passionate about sport, playing and watching, particularly golf and soccer. Other relaxations include cinema, reading and running.
