The adapting technique

A game of Zone Hockey

Project Adapted has developed the adapting technique to assist those who teach, learn or coach adapt physical activities for people and youngsters with severe physical, sensory and intellectual impairments.

We also provide an in-service consultancy in this area. For further information please contact us.

Adapting refers to the practical obstacles - not physical access/attitudes etc - concerning the positive involvement of an individual or group in an actual activity, game or sport in which both the challenge perspective and their dignity is preserved.
