Placement: Dalziel and Pow
Placement Position: Student Placement Interior Designer
“NTU’s Interior Architecture & Design course proves that a mixture of quality teaching with useful hands-on experience is highly beneficial to its students. I had the perfect opportunity to work for one of the leading consultancies in retail design, Dalziel and Pow."
“Dalziel and Pow have over the past 25 years worked with a large client list in both the UK and abroad. Its current clients include, River Island, Next, Gap, HMV, JD and Canon. D+P have grown steadily, bringing style to more and more retail environments. They have just opened their first international office, based in Shanghai."
“At the company, I am currently working on a series of projects. Primarily, I work on current Primark schemes, where we continually push the boundaries in store and fixture design. New store openings where we have direct input include Bristol, Frankfurt and Rotterdam. Also in this short space of time I have been involved with Arcadia, Currys, Jones Bootmaker, Mahindra and Next."
“I’ve learnt so much already, not just software but professional practice and how to approach a project. Nothing can beat being in a professional environment, absorbing new skills and putting them in to practice in real-life scenarios."
“Working at Dalziel and Pow has made me realise I have a greater interest in retail design than first thought and is definitely a field I want to become more involved in after I graduate.”
