"After a lot of research on different careers, I decided to go into quantity surveying. I visited several universities and realised that NTU could offer me the best opportunities; I even had other universities recommending NTU!
"The course covers a wide range of construction issues and has great links with employers and professional bodies. I received unrivalled support from experienced teaching staff and NTU is an excellent environment in which to study.
"I'm now a project surveyor with Willmott Dixon where I have financial control of construction projects up to the value of £20million.
"My role involves liaising with clients, design teams and sub-contractors. I really enjoy the complex nature of the industry, its people and the proud moment that comes when a building is completed and in use.
"One thing that hasn't finished is my learning. I hope to start a further period of study, possibly an MSc or MPhil then perhaps convert to a PhD. I also have strong aspirations to mentor the next generation of rising talent with my current employer."
