Do you still use the skills you learnt at NTU?
"Every day I apply the skills learnt during my time at NTU, these become a part of you. Obviously with work experience and seniority you tend to take more responsibilities and your workload increases so inevitably you tend to work smarter, manage time better and you acquire new skills and knowledge building upon your basics from graduation."

Favourite aspect of your current role?
"My favourite aspect in my current role is seeing things been built and plans being accomplished in time and in a safely manner. My greatest challenges involve dealing with people. You can always find solutions to engineering problems including collapsed structures these can be demolished, redesigned and re-built but people is another matter. Motivating and getting the best out of people can be difficult but is worthwhile not giving up, from personal experience, teamwork is essential to projects success."

Would you recommend NTU to anyone looking at Civil Engineering?
"I would definitely recommend NTU and Civil Engineering because I believe that the course provides the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to work in the industry straight away either doing engineering consulting or engineering contracting.

"For prospective students, Civil Engineering is a great industry to be in, you build things and you make a tangible mark in the built environment, influencing the lives of communities and therefore improving their standard of living. For existing students, my advice is to take every opportunity while at NTU to learn and get involved in the academic and social activities on campus."
