What made you choose Civil Engineering?
"I chose to study BSc Civil Engineering at NTU because I have an interest in buildings and their construction. The course covered all the aspects I was interested in, so it was an easy decision to come here."

What do you enjoy about your course?
"I enjoy the practical and laboratory sessions because they help give you a greater understanding of the course. The academic staff is the course's greatest strength, they are always willing to discuss problems further and help where they can."

How has your work placement helped you?
"My work experience has been very helpful. I started the placement looking at one specific area and ended the placement feeling that another discipline in Civil Engineering would be better for me. It helped me understand how the skills I've learned at NTU transfer into the work place. I learnt a lot whilst out in industry - I definitely now feel better equipped for my final year."
