"I chose NTU because I felt that it was a very friendly university – all the tutors and lecturers are always willing to help and, as the year is small, they know you by name. I also liked that fact there was a high employment rate once graduating from university.
"I feel that this placement has made me more aware of the large range of activities that come under the umbrella of civil engineering and made me confident that I am in the right profession. In the future I hope to be involved in the construction of the Olympics or the new Crossrail train link in London."
