How did you hear about the course?
NTU is well known as an industry leader for educating within the construction industry and was the place a number of previous work experience employers had been educated.

What projects did you undertake on your placement?
My work placement was a year placement at Redrow Homes within their Midlands office.  On my placement I rotated within the land, commercial, construction and technical department to gain a full aspect on how the business works.  While working for Redrow I got involved in several projects to do with both the acquisition of land and also involved in being partly responsible for the running of a current residential development site.

What was the highlight of your placement year?
The highlight of my placement year was the responsibility placed on myself.  For example when working within the construction department, I was placed on one of Redrow's sites for four months where I joined the management team.  This allowed me to work at the sharp end of the business, with an interaction with all different types of people and also a responsibility to manage and deal with sub contracted staff on site.
