"I find that the city site works really well to incorporate everything you need within an easy reach. The resources available are excellent and there is always someone on hand to turn to, whatever your problem may be.
"Allsop are the UK’s biggest property auction house and I have been able to experience the auction room on a number of occasions. A great highlight so far, has been participating in the semi-finals of the RICS auction competition back in November. This was a good opportunity to meet other students and property professionals. We even had a speech given by the president of the RICS.
"Throughout the course of my placement, I have been to a number of networking events, which has allowed me to interact with countless professionals from varied backgrounds. They have been an excellent resource to allow me to extend me property knowledge.
"My placement has definitely confirmed that the property surveying industry is the correct career path for me. This field is exciting, innovative and I do achieve a great sense of job satisfaction. Whether there is a property boom or a recession, surveyors will always be required and there is always great growth potential."
