Postgraduate scholarship opportunities 2012/13

You may be eligible for a scholarship to study a full-time, taught postgraduate degree at the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment.

1. Current NTU students progressing to a full-time Masters course in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment PDF icon

This scholarship is open to Home, EU and International students.

2. NTU Alumni since 2006 who want to join a full-time Masters course in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment PDF icon

This scholarship is for people who have graduated from an undergraduate course at NTU since 2006. It is open to those who would be classed as Home, EU or International students.

3. Scholarships for non-NTU students or pre-2006 Alumni who want to join a full-time Masters course in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment PDF icon

This scholarship is for anyone who doesn't meet the eligibility for the two scholarships above. Please note, however, that it is only open to those who would be classed as Home or EU students.

Important information

  • Each applicant is eligible for only one award.
  • Only self-funded students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
  • Successful scholarship applicants will be informed after the closing dates.

International scholarships

Industry sponsored bursaries - Smart Design

Students on our MA and MSc Smart Design courses can apply for an industry sponsored bursary.

  • PepsiCo have confirmed two bursaries for students starting in 2012.
    These will be to the value of £4,600 and are open for UK/EU and International students to apply for.

    Information for the second bursary will be available in January 2012.
  • We are awaiting confirmation on further industry sponsored bursaries for 2012. Last year the following companies also sponsored bursaries:
    Tyrone Textiles
    John Pacey-Lowrie and Attenborough Dental Laboratories.

AHRC block grant studentships: fully funded Masters places

We will be offering three Arts and Humanities Research Council (ARHC) Masters studentships for September 2012.

These consist of an award of £12,311 to cover full UK/EU fees (£4,600 - £7,600) and a maintenance stipend of (£7,711 - £4,711) commencing on 1st October 2012.

To be eligible you must be a UK/EU student applying for MA or MSc Smart Design, starting in autumn 2012, and submit your application before Monday 25 June 2012.
