Duo flood flask

The project brief was to re-design the conventional lunchbox to help encourage eating homemade healthy meals. The outcome is the duo food flask which enables users to keep food hot or cold for hours, using the unique duo layer technology. This enables users to eat homemade meals anywhere whilst still being stylish.

Levels A001 headphones

These headphones represent comfort for people who wear glasses and sunglasses. Whereas normal headphones force pressure onto the user’s ears, pressing them against their glasses. 

‘A001’ completely avoids the users eyewear. With comfortable cushions to the back and the side of the head, they distribute the pressure elsewhere increasing comfort around the ears.

Cuckoo contraception is designed to help women remember to take their contraceptive pill within the 12 hour window. The aim is to give women piece of mind when taking the contraceptive pill.

This approach provides women with three occasions where the stimulus can trigger a reminder or reassure that they have taken the pill.

The Myro 1.0

The Myro 1.0 is a statement desk light designed for the home office environment, while also having the aesthetic ability to fit anywhere around the home. The feature  include a rotational aluminum frame offering the capacity to change the light’s direction. The dark stained oak diffuser accommodates a LED bulb that also matches the base.

This device allows the user to transport crucial medical equipment as a means of secondary backup support for those days one forgets. This device helps the user to maintain good health management, aid memory and carry all medical devices that are needed to get blood glucose levels back to the safe and correct amounts.

This project explores the role of knives within the home in modern society. Inspired by the heritage and tradition of knife manufacture; new materials, processes and functions were applied to the tool to attach novel purpose. Each knife has been designed as a celebration of the rituals we experience within different rooms of the home.

Diary Objects reinterprets the form and responsibility of a personal diary in a new medium. The entities act as passive bystanders, which document your life and daily actions in a biographical manner. The output of the products is an analogue feed, retaining a tangible archive of your life in an increasingly digital world.

I relished the challenge of designing a range of skincare packaging in an aesthetic way as well as developing them into environmental friendly bottles which consumers would like to refill or reuse to decorate. The shapes were inspired by organic forms and animals, aiming to attract a younger customer who likes collecting accessories.

In today’s society, especially in Hong Kong, there is a lack of working space in the office and at home. People are looking for more efficient work space.

This project aims to design a working desk which helps the space saving problem as well as helping people to better organise their belongings.

Preserving fruit and vegetables to make jams and chutneys is a British tradition. With growing interest in baking and home brewing it is clear that we are increasingly more engaged in home produce. Envisaging a resurgence in jam and chutney making, here the necessary equipment has been examined and reinterpreted to make it easier for beginners to learn this skill.

Glow is designed to alleviate the symptoms of seasonal affective disorder (SAD) by simulating natural dawn to help you wake up. This light treatment, using sustainable daylight LEDs, works over the course of 20 minutes before your desired waking time. The first of its kind to incorporate aromatherapy to compliment the light treatment for a holistic sensory approach.

Prep is a response to the rise of one-person male households. The kitchenware collection offers convenient food preparation and efficient storage of kitchen tools, styled to reflect the types food most commonly cooked at home by British men. Application ‘mEAT’ provides culinary guidance together with a forum to share recipes and meet similar people.

Tea has seen a declining user base due to the failure of English breakfast tea to resonate among younger consumers. The Brew brand was created to offer a differentiating tea experience that would appeal to a more youthful user base, offering an involving and visual method of brewing tea through the medium of a tea set and tea packaging.

Zygon

Zygon is a versatile desk lamp that makes use of energy efficient technologies. Powered by 12 LEDs, Zygon offers complete dimmable control, lending itself useful to both ambient and task lighting. The beautiful use of light and natural wood compliments the bright white lampshade. The entire light can be angled to the users preference.

Dexter is an ergonomic and comfortable dental tool kit designed to assist those with limited manual dexterity whilst brushing and flossing their teeth. Oral health can be greatly affected if the user suffers from arthritis and this can lead to complications such as gum disease, which can even contribute to heart disease.
