In April 2011 the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) merged with The Design Council.
Delivered by Peter Bishop, this lecture will examine the findings of the Bishop Review, published in October 2011. Highlighting how the Government can be advised in order to stimulate a national design debate, how emerging good practice can be identified, the future of design reviews, and how localism can be used to build good, strong and sustainable places.

Architecture, Science and Technology: Architectural Engineering
An inaugural lecture by Professor Dino Bouchlaghem, Professor of Architectural Engineering.
This lecture will explore how architectural styles have developed over time and give examples of the latest advancements in the field of Architectural Engineering. It will demonstrate how science, technology and the environment have contributed to, and shaped innovation within the building industry.
