Nottingham Business School constructing new course for Kentz
Kentz Group has chosen Nottingham Business School to deliver a bespoke course
International engineering and construction company, Kentz Group, has chosen Nottingham Business School to deliver a bespoke MSc in Management and Leadership for its potential future leaders.
Kentz provides specialist engineering solutions and has over 10,000 employees operating in 26 countries worldwide. A three stage programme for Kentz managers is currently being developed by Nottingham Business School, part of Nottingham Trent University, in close collaboration with the firm.
The course will include a Certificate, Diploma and MSc; all designed to enhance managerial, leadership, personal and career development. It will be taught by Nottingham Business School staff who will travel across the globe to locations such as Dubai, Ireland and South Africa. There will also be valuable input from Kentz executives, to ensure that the programme is aligned with strategic and operational objectives, and from the University's School of Architecture, Design and Built Environment.
Those taking part in the programme will develop their leadership skills and values and relate them to real-life business situations through industry-based assignments such as an International Consultancy Project and a Management and Leadership Research Project.
Nottingham Business School, which is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, has built an impressive reputation for developing successful partnerships with businesses across the globe. The School focuses on tailoring education to match company strategy and meet individual and workforce needs. It now boasts links with more than 800 companies in 40 countries worldwide.
Dr Dawn Albery, corporate programmes manager at Nottingham Business School, said: "Kentz requires a programme which meets the needs of its truly global workforce. We're working to ensure that its managers benefit from a flexible and supportive course which enhances their skills, develops their goals and encourages them to innovate and lead in the workplace."
Takis Karallis, Kentz Group HR director, said: "As a company we have an ongoing need to develop leaders capable of sustaining and growing our global business. The team at Nottingham Business School understand this and have worked closely with us in grounding learning and development within the realities of our industry, combining the best of theory and practice."
The programme is due to begin in September 2010
