Job responsibilities

Hugh’s teaching interests are in psychology and design, identity and the material world, and in other applied and everyday life aspects of psychology. He teaches on psychology degrees and the architecture degree at NTU. He is involved in supporting learning and teaching, especially eLearning, within the School of Social Sciences.

Hugh has supervised PhDs on Students’ Help-Seeking Behaviour, Black Male Identity, Online News Design, Product Semantics, and Critical Design Practice.

He is happy to supervise research, using quantitative or qualitative methods, on any aspects of design and wellbeing, identity and the material world, or cyberpsychology, especially identity and self-presentation online.
