Job responsibilities
Jane has worked in postgraduate legal education since 1993. From 1997 she began to specialise in the design and delivery of courses (including masters' level courses) for practitioners, particularly those in the first stages of their careers, and for a number of organisations, including both national and 'magic circle' firms. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Jane is a Reader with responsibilities and interests in research, consultancy, design and development in relation to legal professional regulation, the development of legal services, legal education, the routes to professional qualification and associated pedagogical aspects of Nottingham Law School's activity.
Jane sits on various panels and committees within the Law School and Nottingham Trent University focusing on research and quality assurance, and learning and teaching enhancement.
Research Centre or Group
Jane is a co-founder of the Legal Education Group which encourages sharing of knowledge and experience and publication in legal education theory and practice and both pre and post qualification.
Research, scholarly and professional interests
Jane writes and researches in the fields of legal education (particularly post-classroom) and civil litigation.

Jane qualified in 1990 and worked in London in the fields of commercial and media litigation before joining the Law School in 1993.
