Overview
Don Hassett is Academic Team Leader for the EFL/TESOL team. He trained originally as an anthropologist and has a PhD from the University Of Cambridge based on research in East Africa before changing career and becoming a language teacher. He has taught in Spain as well as the UK where he has worked in secondary, adult and higher education. He has previously worked at Coventry and Middlesex universities and came to NTU in 2004. Don has an MSc in English for Specific Purposes from Aston University and a Diploma in Teaching English Overseas from Manchester University. He specialises in English for Academic Purposes. Don contributes to the following modules in addition to his management role:

- Intercultural Communication on the MA in English Language Training (ELT).
