Job responsibilities
Deborah teaches audiovisual production in modules over all three years of the Multimedia Degree. She coordinates the final year client module which places students into the commercial arena. She also manages and coordinates student projects with outside organisations such as Radiator Festival and the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham. Deborah is also engaged in the Buddy scheme where students work with further education students to introduce and entice further interest in multimedia. She also curates Making the Future, as part of a team, which is a student graduate showcase of artwork that opens once a year in September. She has designed, developed and managed the Multimedia Showcase site which exhibits graduates' and students' work and profiles.
Research, scholarly and professional interests
Deborah is currently researching the area of interactive narrative environments which explores the potential for virtual technologies as a storytelling medium.
This research involves investigating new possibilities for narrative form and new ways of using this form for public display. Areas involved include audiovisual theory, game strategies, visualisation technologies and interface design.

Deborah can supervise projects that involve design, production and development of film. She is also interested in projects that inform new narrative design, particularly those that involve aspects of interactivity and new media.
