Kevin is currently examining the construction of identity amongst video-game developers, with a particular focus on the consequences of this for both workplace gender equality and employee quality-of-life (QoL).
This research reflects a broader interest in the fields of social interaction, identity, gender, and technology, and builds upon a previous career within both the video-game development and wider corporate computing industries.
Kevin's work adopts a social constructionist perspective, utilising qualitative analytic approaches such as discourse analysis (DA), discursive psychology (DP), conversation analysis (CA), membership categorisation analysis (MCA), and ethnomethodology (EM).
In addition, Kevin is also interested in the analysis of visual material occuring within popular culture with respect to identity construction.
