Varsity Series kicks off with a win for NTU!

Nottingham University Outlaws - 6
Nottingham Trent supporters left the Harvey Hadden stadium proud on Sunday evening after seeing NTU Renegades win a tough match over Nottingham University Outlaws in American Football's first outing as a Charity Varsity fixture.
After the first few plays NTU took the lead when Alex Fodor intercepted a pass and returned the ball 30 yards for the first touchdown. An extra point was gained by kicker Kieran Green taking the score to an early lead of 7-0 to NTU.
Nottingham University Outlaws returned to play with a touchdown pass taking the score to 7-6 at the end of the first quarter.
After two scoreless quarters both teams were showing off their strong defensive skills. NTU went into the final quarter strong with another interception return by corner back Ash Mullin and with a successful extra point kick the score was 14-6.
The final few moments of the game saw Nottingham University Outlaws push hard for another score but were no match for NTU Renegades defence.
Trent Tigers, our championship cheerleaders gave a stunning performance during half time and will be performing throughout the Charity Varsity Series.
