This course looks at the welfare of domestic and exotic animals in captivity and allows you to develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to work in the animal industry. You’ll gain a good understanding of animal biology, breeding and nutrition.

What’s the course all about?

The care and welfare of domestic and exotic animals in captivity has become a major growth area in the UK. With this comes the need for well-trained, skilled staff who are capable of caring for a wide range of species in a variety of contexts. You’ll learn about animal related topics such as biology, health, behaviour, reproduction and breeding while also developing practical skills for handling and caring. 

The course is well equipped to help you gain the knowledge and skills needed to ensure you can pursue your dream career.
