This part-time degree course exposes you to the exciting and rapidly expanding world of construction, with a blend of design work, project planning and management of large construction projects around the world. As a graduate, you'll be part of an industry developing and maintaining the infrastructure required by the world at large.

The part-time option on the BSc Civil Engineering course is a special offering which allows those already working in the industry, or with work experience, to acquire further professional qualifications and apply their learning.

This course:

  • provides education base for Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status
  • is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) (please see below for further details)
  • accepts advanced entry with relevant qualifications and experience
  • is taught for one day each week
  • benefits from excellent labs and workshops
  • enables you to fit study around work commitments.

Accreditation
This course is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) which includes the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) as fully satisfying the educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng).
