About the course
It is possible for Nottingham Law School to award a Graduate LLB (Hons) degree to students who have achieved the whole Legal Practice Course (LPC) or the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) via a non-law degree route whilst studying the LPC or BPTC at Nottingham or Kaplan.
The Graduate LLB gives academic recognition to students' efforts during two years of postgraduate study and provides additional credibility, especially in overseas markets.
Non-law routes would include the following:
- Nottingham / Kaplan Law School's Graduate Diploma in Law (Full-time)
By adding the Diploma awarded at the end of the GDL to components of Nottingham Law School's LPC or BPTC. - Nottingham Law School's Graduate Diploma in Law (Distance learning)
If a full GDL (comprising the seven core subjects plus a further area of law) has been studied, by adding the Diploma awarded at the end of the GDL distance learning course to components of Nottingham Law School's LPC or BPTC. - Graduate Diploma in Law or CPE from another institution
If the candidate has undertaken a full JASB approved law conversion course by studying the seven core subjects plus a further area of law, by adding the Diploma awarded at the end of that course to components of Nottingham Law School's LPC or BPTC. - ILEX qualifications
A student who has satisfied the SRA that he or she has passed the academic stage of training by completion of ILEX examinations. - Other non-degree qualifications
