Designed for students aspiring to senior management positions within the structural engineering field, this course focuses on applying engineering principles in structural engineering and in management.

This accredited course is ideally suited to practicing engineers, but it is also relevant for recent graduates planning a career in structural engineering.

You will have the opportunity to:

The course enables students to develop their managerial skills, offering a balanced mix of structural engineering and management modules and leads to Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.

Individual modules course can also be studied as Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Professional accreditation
This degree is accredited as meeting the JBM requirements for Further Learning for a Chartered Engineer (CEng) for candidates who have already acquired an Accredited CEng (Partial) BEng (Hons) or an Accredited IEng (Full) BEng/BSc (Hons) undergraduate degree.

The JBM consists of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CHIT) and the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE).

The course is also accredited by the Engineering Council. This accreditation is a mark of assurance that the degree meets the standards set by the Engineering Council in the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC).
