Our research groups and centres are a communications catalyst for activity of hundreds of academic staff members. The groups and centres encourage exploration, enquiry and collaboration between staff and students. More than 70 research groups and centres work across the nine Academic Schools with an aim to shape lives and society.

The CRRE recovers and studies the work of labouring-class writers of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, including John Clare, Robert Bloomfield and Henry Kirke White.
The Centre focuses on the humanities-based study of architecture, material culture and the built environment within a fast evolving context of simultaneous globalisation and heightened awareness of difference.

RECALL (EU KA ICT) aims to combine location based services with games based learning to promote route learning by means of rehearsing, reflecting and reinforcing the routes. Initial development was carried out for the Android platform.
