Researchers in this group undertake theoretical and applied work on human cognition and perception processing ranging from short-term and long-term memory to auditory processing, the time course of visual perception and attention to multiple objects.

This project examines why young people appear to be increasingly disillusioned with politics in Britain. It is based on a national survey of over a thousand British 18 year olds conducted in 2011, as well as the findings from fourteen focus groups.
In this project a system using a Wiimote camera and a bespoke ‘IR glove’ was developed to track a user’s hand and finger movements.
