Student showcase
The School is an excellent learning environment with consistently high standards of teaching and students produce work of exceptional quality. Projects developed by our further education students are consistently winning awards, innovative and often attract industry attention.
Projects undertaken by the various courses in our further education provision include:
Our Animal Management students have completed bird surveys, learned how to repair fencing, drive tractors, build and dismantle brick walls and build fencing to accommodate livestock.
Conservation and Countryside Management students have been involved in the recording and mapping of veteran trees, producing a map of field names from the 1841 enclosure map to allow other students to study the history of the estate, recording species data around the estate.
Horse Management students have taken advantage of the industry standard British Horse Society examinations with a 92% pass rate.
Horticulture students have helped to cultivate the plants and develop the scheme here at the Brackenhurst campus.
Each year we hold an annual presentation day for those students winning awards in areas such as best student and most improved student over the year.
