Legal Principles
Topics include:
- the legal system and the UK constitution
- the law of contract
- negligence and defective product liability under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 Part I.
The Consumer Protection Environment
Topics examined include the key principles of consumer protection and policy, including aspects of consumer information and education, the role of the Trading Standards Service and other consumer protection institutions.
Assessment is carried out by the University and there is no requirement to sit the TSI examinations.
