Within the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences, our commercial support unit the Rural Knowledge and Enterprise Centre (RKEC) offers a wide range of short courses available for professionals looking to gain further qualifications to enhance their career.
Short courses
Most of our training courses run between one to five consecutive days. However we do offer a range of day-release courses over 18 months that enable gain qualifications that will aid their professional development. Many of our courses offer flexible study routes to enable you to manage work commitments while gaining the qualification.
Bespoke training for employers
We also offer bespoke training packages for employers looking to improve the skills and knowledge of their workforce. This ranges from the food science and technology sector to agricultural related businesses.
Free business support (part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund)
The Rural Knowledge and Enterprise Centre helps small-to-medium enterprises in the East Midlands grow and develop with a range of support packages.
