BSc (Hons) Wildlife Conservation
Country of origin: India
"Studying in the UK has offered me a completely different style of learning from my education in India. It has exposed me to a wider community of people with different opinions and cultural backgrounds. The wildlife in the UK is also vastly different from that found in the Indian subcontinent and I am learning about many new and exciting species.
"I heard about this course from a friend in India who had studied Animal Management at Nottingham Trent University's Brackenhurst campus. UCAS helped me apply and I felt this particular course suited me well.
"I feel supported as an international student, and I know that if I had any problems there would be someone who could help me. The lecturers are very enthusiastic and encourage you to think critically when looking at study material. My favourite modules have been Animal Handling and Wildlife Surveying so far.
"When I graduate I wish to stay in the UK for a few years and try to secure research funding to study Grey Wolves in Alaska. Later I would also like to return to India and implement conservation work that would help the wildlife in my country for the better."
