The animal unit houses over 200 animals of 61 species providing the ideal environment for the study of companion animals, reptiles, birds, fish and other small animals. In addition there is the opportunity to study larger animals including donkeys, horses, sheep and goats.

The unit is for study at all levels and consists of specialist rooms for the animals, various items of research equipment and grooming areas.
