Injuries/Ailments: Infected tooth root on upper right molar. June 2007 Drilled through from outside, cleaned and packed at Animal Health Trust in Newmarket.
Went back again in November 2007 as reinfected.
Went to Bransby in January 2008 with wound (hole) in face requiring cleaning daily - reinfected.
June 2008 - Returned to Newmarket for cement plug. Wound managed but not healed.
March 2009 - Came to Brackenhurst - cleaned alternate days and Baytril applied.
June 2009 - Completely healed.

06/12/02 - Still lame - went to vets for X-Ray. Chip off bone. Six weeks box rest then another x-ray - no floating chip so walking in hand and then progressively more work.

Injuries/Ailments: 25/12/01 - Severe colic attack. Buscopan and rectal. Recovered by next morning. Between January 2002 and January 2003 he had regular attacks of colic of varying severity and regularity was approximately once a month but was a lot less during the summer. Blood tests showed no abnormality and there seemed to be no common denominator or pattern. Tried yoghurt, yeast, hay and haylage!
January 2003 - attacks became increasingly frequent. At times as much as four-five times per week.
February 2003 - referred to Cambridge Vet School. Colicked at the consultation and went straight into surgery. Found areas where the gut had narrowed (no idea why) and food getting stuck. Removed several of these areas but some were left in. In hospital three days then came home and was put on a sloppy diet.
Future Management - Little and often, try to avoid feed/starve situations so fibre does not build up in hind gut. Since then has had the odd attack of colic but much better.

History: Family Horse. Done a small amount of dressage and show jumping. Quite Green when arrived.

Injuries/Ailments: 23/02/07 - Very swollen left hind leg. Getting worse from pastern to above hock. Vet came and prescribed TMD for 10 days with short walks and massage. No wound or injury.
26/02/07 - Leg burst! Lots of pus out of a hole below hock - flushed and dressed. Vet came and changed antibiotic to Exenel (IM 20ml daily x 5 days) then TMD for five days.
27/02/07 - Several pieces of Equisorb Bedding came out of wound!
06/03/07 - Vet checked, still very swollen. Continue TMD until pus stops. Walk and bandage.
12/03/07 - Showing great improvement - leg walks down but not completely. Keep bandaged if standing. 10 more days of TMD.
This leg will now fill if Libby does less work or when she has been out in field over summer and first comes in the stable.

History: Born in USA, came to UK as a yearling. In training and raced as a 2/3 and 4 year old, after racing did BSJA and BE Eventing as a 6,7 and 8 year old. Privately owned until 1998.

Shoeing: Very poor feet/no growth. Cracks from coronary band. Bar shoes to limit movement and opening of cracks and cornucrescine

Clipping: Very Good

Injuries/Ailments: August 2000 - Laminitis. Kept in and on soft bedding with painkillers administered. After two weeks was okay. Now careful of rich grass!
October 2002 - Large cracks down both front feet from coronary band. Very lame. Box rest and staples for three months. Avoid hard surfaces.
August 2005 - Damaged superficial digital flexor on left hind above hock. 10 days of bute, pressure bandage, box rest for two weeks. Into crew yard for 6 weeks and then two weeks walking in hand. ACP and turn out for 8 weeks. Start ridden walking from field for six weeks. Increased work gradually - now fully recovered.
