City site

All of our art and design courses are based at our City site: a fantastic place to study, with everything the city of Nottingham has to offer just a few minutes walk from our state-of-the-art workshops, studios and student accommodation.

Student facilities on this site include:

As part of a £92m regeneration project, two of our flagship buildings on the City site, Newton and Arkwright, have recently been fully refurbished. The additional resources these buildings provide are benefiting all the University's students on the City site.

Currently taking place on campus is the redevelopment of the Byron building - which used to be the City site's Students' Union. The scheme will create a landmark building which will include 5,500 square metres of social, leisure and wellbeing facilities, plus new student accommodation.  Facilities in the new development will include a sports hall, entertainment area, fitness studio, shop, bar, social space and a health centre, all due to open in September 2013.

The City site also benefits from Nottingham's award-winning public transport network. This includes a tram service that runs from the north of the county directly through the heart of our campus, into the city and onwards to Nottingham Railway Station. With the city's main bus and coach links all within walking distance, getting to and from NTU couldn't be easier.
