Performance: In a cultural No Man’s Land, Sulaimany Studio Actor
Details:
The group, from Iraqi Kurdistan, present a performance about how culture leaves a strong impact on individuals, both physically and emotionally during their whole life.
This work tackles topical and potentially confronting themes to do with culture / tradition / ritual.
The topic of territories, borders and the integration of cultures is highly contemporary in relation to international politics.
It’s of significance that the group members have changed in the lead up to World Event Young Artists and this was due to visa issues where some artists have been excluded from attending.
This performances is part of WEYA (World Event Young Artists), further details about this performance can be found on the WEYA website.
