José studied a degree in Film Directing at the University of Católica Boliviana. He comes from a background in film directing and visual art, which is used to inform the performance.

This work sits on the boundaries of visual art / live art / dance.

The body is not just a vehicle as is commonly used in dance, but the content and focus of Jose’s work; it is treated as both object and subject.

As we are based in the city centre of Nottingham, we would advise visitors to this exhibition to use the park and ride services, or to catch the tram to the Nottingham Trent University stop. There is no visitor car parking available at the University.
