Performance: Frontieres, Mujyambere Abdoulahrim
Details:
Frontieres is a piece of work talking about borders fixed by ourselves, borders in terms of place, time and culture.
This artist tackles a political topic, using dance and the body as way of portraying the genocide that affected Rwanda, Mujyambere’s home.
It uses a fusion of traditional African dance styles and employs unamplified accapella song and spoken word, experimenting with a dialogue between dance and storytelling.
This performances is part of WEYA (World Event Young Artists), further details about this performance can be found on the WEYA website.
