Travelling to NTU

Nottingham Trent University is centrally located in England and benefits from excellent national and international transport links.

Travelling by car

Our campus is right in the city centre which is great, but parking is very restricted. The city's park and ride services will drop you just minutes from our campus, and we would suggest visitors use this rather than driving into the city centre.

From the North – use the NET tram Park and Ride service at either The Forest, Gregory Boulevard, or at Phoenix Park (off junction 26 of the M1).

Alight at the Nottingham Trent University stop on Goldsmith Street, in the centre of our campus.

From the South – use the bus Park and Ride service on the A453 Queens Drive site (off Junction 24 of the M1)

Alight on Upper Parliament Street, and our campus is two to three minutes walk away.

Car parking
Visit the Nottingham Travelwise website for further car parking information. If you do park on the streets around the University, they are all metered (two to three hours depending on the street) with strict warden patrols.

Motorways
Nottingham is well served by the UK’s motorway network. The M1 passes close to the west of the city, the A42 / M42 links to the south-west of the city and the A1(M) to the east of the county. When using the M1 from the north, exit at junction 26 for the City site, using the A610 Nuthall Road or Alfreton Road.

Travelling by rail

Timetable information is available at the National Rail Enquiries website.

On arrival at Nottingham train station, follow the signs upstairs for ‘Trams’; this will take you to the tram terminus at the side of the train station. Take the tram four stops to the Nottingham Trent University tram stop on Goldsmith Street. Visit the NET website for more details.

Travelling by coach

All National Express services stop at Nottingham’s Broadmarsh Bus Station. On arrival, exit the station, and cross Canal Street following the signs to Station Street tram stop. Take the tram four stops to the Nottingham Trent University tram stop on Goldsmith Street.

Travelling by air

Nottingham East Midlands Airport is only 30 minutes from the city centre, offering national and international flights. Getting to Nottingham from the airport is easy and fast by car or the Skylink Express bus service.
