Nottingham Trent University is home to a number of internationally recognised specialist centres, covering a broad spectrum of subject areas.

Accredited by the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) and the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ), the Centre has a strong reputation for its courses devoted to the study and practice of the media, covering all aspects of radio, TV, newspaper and online journalism.

This group focuses on the strategic nature of almost all forms of linguistic communication. The group members pursue both individual and collaborative research projects on linguistic strategies. They organise research seminars and discussions and are available for consultancy.

The Centre is run by experienced professional practitioners who have their own private consultancy businesses. They offer consultancy in evaluation; visitor survey and audience development; collections management and curatorial services; museum documentation and professional training.

The Language Resource Centre offers a multimedia environment in which you can develop your skills in a foreign language. The University Language Programme meets the needs of the local community for both personal and business requirements.

With a wealth of global experience our internationally educated facilitators and consultants design training and consultancies for all organisations and sectors. Services include translation; interpreting; study tours; country briefings; and short language courses.
Network for Languages
The Nottingham Language Centre hosts Network for Languages East Midlands which provides training, networking and professional development for language teachers in schools and colleges across the region. Network for Languages East Midlands is part of the national organisation Network for Languages, an alliance of universities committed to excellence in language learning and teaching in all settings, sectors and phases.

The overall aim of Project Adapted is to provide a focal point in higher education for research, course development and consultancy related to providing practical support for Adapted Physical Activities.

Centre for Design and Technology Education
The Design and Technology department provides a practical focus for Nottingham Trent University's specialisation in the study of initial teacher education. It has evolved, and continues to develop, a rich, innovative and relevant programme of study.
