Rebecca Huxley-Binns is Reader in Legal Education at Nottingham Law School. She is chair of the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Group and is
also a member of the School Academic Standards and Quality Committee, the Curriculum Review Group, the Quality Enhancement
Group and the Quality Monitoring Committee. She has led various staff development seminars (e.g. on eLearning, assessments,
marking and moderation). She is also joint lead of the centre for Legal Education, and was co-founder and Chair of the Legal
Education Group (part of the Centre for Legal Research). Rebecca was the guest editor of the Nottingham Law Journal 2010 (19/1).
Rebecca was awarded UK Law Teacher of the Year in 2010.
Rebecca is Module Leader for criminal law (taught in Year Two), and Critical Legal Thinking (final year).
Widely published, Rebecca is author or co-author of five textbooks in law and has published extensively in journals on topics
ranging from witness anonymity in criminal proceedings to the development of soft skills in law students.
Rebecca is external examiner at London South Bank University and the University of the West of England. She is also a representative
of the Joint Academic Standards Board and is the Honorary Secretary of the Association of Law Teachers.
