Inclusive assessment toolkit

To enable an inclusive environment, learning and teaching resources should be developed using the social model of disability. This identifies the problem as being within society and therefore the University, whose responsibility it becomes to remove barriers which prevent participation by disabled students. Within learning, teaching and assessment, this will may mean adapting methodologies, policies, practices and attitudes to allow students with impairments to participate fully, instead of requiring individual student's to fit in with existing structures. A basic toolkit for inclusive learning, teaching and assessment has been developed by Claire Ward (formerly working in CADQ at Nottingham Trent University) as an aid to staff.

DIY Toolkit for Alternative and Inclusive Assessment Practice - (This resource was created by claire Ward who has now retired from Nottingham Trent University).
