Winning funding
Introduction Funding for pedagogic research can be found both internal and external to the higher education sector and application processes
will vary between organisations. Many bodies offer subscriptions to RSS feeds or email alerts to highlight funding calls.
The following information is relevant to funding for learning and teaching and not disciplinary research.
Examples of funding bodies For more specific information, it is worth visiting the web pages of the funding body as many have information intended to
support applicants.
Current funding opportunities The winning funding spreadsheet provides a searchable summary of funding opportunities for pedagogic research or learning and teaching developments.
It is updated by CADQ on a monthly basis to aid NTU staff who may wish to seek funding.
How to The NTU Research Sharepoint site offers advice to staff on ethics and governance and funding application links. Colleagues considering applications should
be aware that sign off procedures and grant advice may vary from college to college.
Case studies In this section there is summary information and case studies from two NTU projects which were funded by external organisations.
1. Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the HERE project In 2008 NTU were successful in obtaining funding and project lead for the HERE Project which was jointly funded by HEFCE and
