2009 Symposium on Research Informed Teaching

The 2009 NTU symposium on Research-Informed Teaching took place on 13 November and included the following:

• a plenary by Professor Mick Healey
• a showcase of SPUR
• the launch of the SPUR to Success Scheme including presentations from the grant holders.

The symposium also included the following papers on research informed teaching: 

• Attaining a Research Oriented Culture in the Designed Environment (ppt)
• Using Research-linked Learning Resources in Chemistry (ppt)
• Research-based Teaching at the NTU On-campus Observatory (ppt)
• Research-based Teaching in Fashion and Textile Management (ppt).

The event featured in NTU staff news and received a mention in the Times Higher Education Publication.
