Section 4: Course Development and Approval

  • All University award-bearing courses are subject to a development and approval process.
  • Proposals for new courses and major changes to courses must complete the Business Planning process prior to academic approval.
  • The academic approval process involves the establishment of a Development and Approval Group (DAG).
  • During the planning process, the course team must consult Section 3 of the ASQ Handbook on Course Design.
  • Each course proposal must be documented and will comprise a contextual document, a course specification and module specifications.
  • Modifications to existing courses are delegated to SASQCS.
  • Full details on course approval are contained in Section 4 of the ASQ Handbook.
