Academic Standards and Quality Handbook

• The Academic Standards and Quality (ASQ) Handbook contains the University's procedures, processes and regulations for the assurance and enhancement of academic standards and the quality of the student learning experience.
• The ASQ Handbook is maintained by the Centre for Academic Development and Quality (CADQ) and subject to the approval of Academic Board.
• A revised version of the ASQ Handbook is produced each September to reflect developments in policy and academic practice, as well as changes to organisational structures.
• The ASQ Handbook is inevitably a comprehensive and large document with many sections and additional guidance. To help staff, an Executive Summary has been produced that sets out in a concise format the essential features of each section.
• Staff and other users may wish to consult the executive summary before referring to the main ASQ Handbook.
