Building a Library of Memory: architecture and media in Memory Studies Supervisor: Dr Ana Souto (Architecture, Design and the Built Environment)
The study of issues related to architecture and memory are gaining importance amongst the students of Architecture and Interior
Architecture and Design at NTU. The project aims to bridge the gap between learning/teaching and research at NTU in the field
of the study of architecture and memory, through a new interdisciplinary tool and database to promote and encourage the study
of architecture and memory in the School of Architecture and elsewhere. Student tasks will include contribution to the research
design, a literature review, compilation of information based on centres related to memory (museums, memorials, centres of
documentation etc.) and compilation of research and pictures or drawings of relevant examples.
