SPUR Project

Community resilience, empowerment and risk adaptations

Supervisor: Dr Amanda Smith (Language and International Studies)

Adaptations to a wide range of climate change related risks will need to take place at various scales, from governments through to communities, families and individuals. This project will explore the potential of Community Response Networks (CRNs) to increase community resilience, empowerment and risk adaptations. Student tasks will include the design and distribution of a questionnaire to all patrons (and potential beneficiaries) of CRNs in England plus subsequent data analysis and dissemination of findings.
