Creation of a Virtual Urban Environment (VUE) as a Teaching, Learning and Research Tool and Resource Supervisors: Mr Michael Jayne, Mr Keith Agar
Primarily utilising existing software and resources, the project saw the creation of a virtual urban environment (VUE) for
use as a teaching, learning and research tool and resource to be shared across the college of Architecture, Design and the
Built Environment. The tool was comprised of a range of materials from property leases and virtual tenants, to details of
real properties, client organisations, operating strategies and multidisciplinary firms. The student was involved in defining
research problems, developing research strategy and conducting respondent sampling. They undertook a literature review and
assisted with the development of questionnaire and interview vehicles, as well as their distribution, collation and analysis.
